Events and activities organised by our Member Relations team

Did you know that our Member Relations team organise activities and events all across our Midlands trading area? Focusing on the principles of the Co-operative Movement, they are usually informal, fun and interesting activities for both adults and young people.

2012 is the International Year of Co-operatives, and we will be joining in the celebrations with events throughout the year.

On the agenda in the coming months are school visits in Winstanley, Rowlatts Hill and Melton Mowbray, trips to the home of the Rochdale Pioneers for members (one including a tea dance at Rochdale town hall!), and looking after children from Chernobyl when they visit the UK in  August. 

A major event tied into the International Year of Co-operatives is a trip to the Co-operatives United World Festival and Expo in Manchester. This is the culmination of the IYOC, and people from around the world will be there for a host of conferences, workshops, films and exhibitions all celebrating co-operation.
